I know that this blog is Dr. Bangs' first foray into blogging. I have been happy to help him get started and I hope that his family and friends get some enjoyment from his ramblings and postings. The cool thing about blogging is that it is a two way street. You can read what Mark is doing and comment on his postings. Since I started the blog, I am able to write more stuff than a visitor, but at the end of the day, this is Mark's blog. I am hoping to see some photos from Mark's time in Japan, and I always look forward to hearing about his adventures in Japanese culture. To anyone who has never been to Japan, it is a fascinating country with an incredible history and culture. To be honest, had my former employer, the U.S. Navy, had not sent me there more times than I can remember, I doubt that I would have ever traveled there.
